ECERDC, TAPiO and the delegation from leading German recreational vehicle (RV) industry players attended a knowledge-sharing session at Menara MITI
Representatives from the East Coast Economic Region Development Council (ECERDC), TAPiO Management Advisory and a delegation from leading German recreational vehicle (RV) industry players attended a knowledge-sharing session on the status update of the development of the RV industry in Malaysia at Menara MITI, Kuala Lumpur, on 9 February 2023.
The event brought together various Government Ministries and Agencies to discuss the current progress of the Vehicle Type Approval (VTA) registration for RV and improvements for industry safety regulations as well as the classification and operational requirements of campsites and recreational areas in Malaysia.
The networking and knowledge-sharing session were hosted by ECERDC and attended by representatives from the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI), Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) as well as Road Transport Department (JPJ), Ministry of Local Government Development (KPKT), Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), TAPiO Management Advisory and other relevant agencies. The session discussed the current progress of the Vehicle Type Approval (VTA) registration for RV, improvements for industry safety regulations, and the classification and operational requirements of campsites and recreational areas.
