During a high-level courtesy visit to YAB Datuk Seri Utama Ab Rauf bin Yusoh, Chief Minister of Melaka, the World Economic Council delegation, accompanied by TAPiO, formalised a strategic partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Melaka Corporation. The engagement highlighted Melaka’s growing role as a destination for sustainable German industrial investment in Southeast Asia.

The WEC Discovery Mission to Malaysia continued in Melaka with strategic dialogues led by YB Datuk Khaidhirah and senior leaders from MCorp, Invest Melaka, and MIDA. The meeting introduced the German Technology Park, an upcoming ESG-aligned industrial hub designed to attract European industries into Southeast Asia. Facilitated by TAPiO, the session reinforced Melaka’s ambition to position itself as a competitive entry point for foreign direct investment.
